Coyotes lose heartbreaker in overtime loss

El Paso, Texas - The El Paso Coyotes were overwhelmed, at home, 10 to 4 by the pacific division leader, the San Diego Sockers, in an action packed Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) game at the El Paso County Coliseum, in El Paso, Texas.

The Coyotes now fall to 0 - 15 as they continue to struggle to win their first Major Arena Soccer League game.

Coyotes’ midfielder Bronil Koochoie led all Coyote players in scored goals with two. Koochoie had the first Coyotes’ goal to make the score 2-1, but the Sockers kept control to end the first half with a 5 to 2 lead.

The Sockers remained in control of the game throughout the second half to close out the game with a 10 to 4 win. Sockers star forward Kraig Chiles led all players with four goals, followed by teammate defender Cesar Cerda who had three goals and an assist for the game.

Friday’s matchup was the second of three meetings between the two teams. The Sockers have won both games this season against the Coyotes 12-6 and 10-4, respectively. They play their final season game against each other in San Diego on the 16th of February at the Valley View Casino Center.
